Principle: Timing

“Nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come.” – Viktor Hugo

Timing is a b*tch — in love, business, and life. That is, of course, if the outcome is negative. When it is positive, timing is a force of nature — and unstoppable force.

Some of the things can be timed. Whether to marry or not can be timed, the same goes for starting a business, as well as taking a career leap.

However, there are some things that cannot be timed — it requires that a bet is made, a roll of the dice. Is it the right time to propose marriage, to expand the business to other markets, or to ask for a raise or promotion? Brutally honest questions have to be asked and, in turn, brutally honest answers have to be heard.

At best, to approximate a favorable outcome, a careful examination of how to increase success should be made, then all potential obstacles should be removed or avoided. When all is said and done, there is but one thing left to do: roll the dice.
